We had a most enjoyable fun Carol Service, thanks to all who came, especially those who were "willingly" press ganged into participating.  Also, special thanks to Ivy Paterson and family who kindly gave a lovely warm and festive welcome to all at the post Carol Service gathering. For the non-dog walkers, you now know what is at the end of the long, very long concrete drive!

Sad to report the loss in Katherine House of " Cowman George"...long standing villagers will remember him as Roy Paterson's herdsman for many years, when a piece of baler twine stretched across the Biddlesden road at Abbey Farm meant a stop and a wait and probably a chat, whilst the dairy herd strolled across from one side of the road to the other, and many an excuse for being late for school as we had to wait for the cows!!

Several members of the village are not enjoying the best of health at the moment and we wish them a speedy recovery.

We live in hope that one day our potholes will be repaired, in the meantime as its best to drive slowly to avoid them, it gives you time to enjoy the snowdrops.
